Check in before check-in. 

Before you travel anywhere out of town — and especially outside the U.S.—remember to pack your previous and next set of aligner trays just in case. It’s also a good idea to let your care team at Aspen Dental know you’ll be away from home. In the event you need an adjustment to further your Motto treatment, your care team can get new clear aligners to you before you leave — so you don’t have any delays en route to your new smile.

Pack a suitcase. Pack a clear aligner case.

Following this easy checklist will help keep you on course to your healthy, new smile:

• Your next 2 sets of aligners, just in case

• Soft-bristled toothbrush

• Travel size toothpaste (3 oz. or less if you’re flying)

• Dental floss

• Aligner case

• Chewies

• Cleaning tablets

Make sure to pack all of these things in your carry-on bag if you’re flying.

In addition, it’s a good idea to bring a refillable water bottle so you can stay hydrated and rinse your mouth out on the fly. Added bonus: you won’t have to pay inflated prices for bottled water.

Don’t take a vacay from your routine.

Even when you’re traveling it’s important that you keep up with your clear aligner treatment habits: wear them a least 22 hours a day, brush and floss daily, removing them to eat and drink, etc. Just like your travel plans, nobody wants a delay in their journey to a new smile.
